Managing sessions

You can add, edit and remove sessions from competitions, but there may sometimes be restrictions on what you can change.

Adding a new session

To add a new session:

  • Navigate to the competition
  • Scroll to the Schedule section
  • Click Add session
  • Fill in the details on the form

You can select a different venue for a session! This is useful for competitions which are spread across multiple weekends.

New sessions are created without any events.

Editing a session

To edit a session:

  • Navigate to the competition
  • Scroll to the Schedule section
  • Select the session you want to edit
  • Press Edit in the top right
  • Make your changes in the form

Managing events

You can add and remove events from sessions.

Adding an event

  • Navigate to the competition
  • Scroll to the Schedule section
  • Select the session you want to edit
  • Press Edit in the top right
  • In the Events section, click Add event
  • A dialog will appear. Fill in the,
    • Event name, such as 100m Individual Medley
    • The competition category (formerly sex)
    • Stroke
    • Distance
    • Pool/event units (metres, yards, feet)
    • Entry fee
    • Per event processing fee
    • Age groups

Defining age groups

Age groups allow you to automatically restrict who can enter an event, preventing you and your members from entering the incorrect event.

By default, events have a single age group of OPEN. This means the event is open to all ages.

You can add age groups using the following formats:

  • OPEN All ages
  • 9- Ages 9 and above
  • -12 Ages 12 and under
  • 9-12 Ages 9 to 12 inclusive

The software will allow a member to enter an event if they fall within any of the age categories.

Editing an event

You can drag events within the session to change the order. You can not modify an event once you have created it.

Deleting an event

To delete an event, press Delete. You can not delete an event with entries.
